Dutch software company DigiOffice is participating in the first edition of DigiBouw, a 2-day exhibition on innovations in construction with the theme of digital transformation. A gauntlet that DigiOffice is eager to take up with the construction industry and other software vendors by working together to create a concrete, well-functioning digital reality.
"Construction companies need to make sure they really take ownership of their own data. Indeed, the total product that construction companies create has completely changed," says Arie Sterrenburg, Director of Consultancy at DigiOffice. "The underlying agreements and documents and the associated file of a project have all become part of the total product. The logical conclusion then follows from that that you have to have the provision of information in good order. Especially with the knowledge that contracts now go far beyond delivery due to the often decades-long maintenance obligation."
So the key question is how to make sure all that digital information and data starts working for you and your supply chain partners. Bob Swart, commercial manager at DigiOffice, says: "You need order and you want to prevent information dips at phase transitions in a project. Automation is there to make life easier for your own employees, your subcontractors and clients. They too should have easy and secure access to data and documents. After all, you have to be able to trust each other that you are working with the same up-to-date information. That is only possible if you arrange that properly."
With a visit to DigiOffice's booth at DigiBouw, visitors will get an idea of how DigiOffice is shaping digital transformation in construction with software, integrations, APIs, technological developments and AI. DigiBouw is on November 20 and 21 at the Beatrix Theater in Utrecht (stand DigiOffice B.032). Or visit https://www.digioffice.nl/bouw/
