Digitization helps to reduce failure costs, to realize construction tasks faster, and makes collaboration easier and more efficient. To make optimal use of digitization, a good foundation is crucial. Digitalization of internal processes is therefore one of the three themes at DigiBouw. We highlight - in chronological order - five sessions from the DigiBouw 2024 program that relate to this.

1 Digital transformation in construction is needed to work faster, cheaper and better. In his presentation "The power of unambiguous data," Johan de Groot, consultant at CADblanche, argues that the success and speed of these process changes depends on our collective mindset. Realize what the power of unambiguous data is, and dare to change, is his message. De Groot, with his team, develops applications that have a positive impact on traditional processes and explains.

2 Several industries already benefit from innovative technologies, but construction lags behind. Traditional working methods lead to inefficiencies. High time, therefore, to promote collaboration and real-time communication using modern platforms such as Treetop Connect. Albana Huska, Director Product Development ECI RHC EU talks about these innovative solutions in her presentation "Digitization in construction, the power of innovation.
She shows what these innovative technologies mean for ECI RHC EU's customers and their organizational processes. She shows how the support of business processes will be much more efficient in the future through automation and digitization. By sharing knowledge and investing in training, companies can embrace the benefits of digitization. Collaboration is crucial for the future of construction.

3 Case studies are always inspiring. Especially when it comes to implementing digital change. This is not only about fitting new technologies into your business operations, but getting your organization on board is an equally important aspect. Are colleagues open to this change? How do you make the improvements visible and tangible?
Danny van Rij-Roks, Director Integrated System Solutions at Walraven B.V. and Jeroen Coenders, founder/CEO at Packhunt en Voortaan B.V. went through this process and tell about it. They experienced that taking small steps eventually has a big impact.

4 Another example from practice: Nicole van Est, work planner at Van Mourik Bouw, talks during a panel discussion about how digitization went within Van Mourik Bouw. About problems, lessons learned, and of course about the benefits that digitization eventually delivered. Questions about the process? Nicole is happy to answer them.

5 The inspiration session "How can digitization really move a medium-sized contractor forward?" ties in with the presentation on the digitization process at Walraven.
